A New Venture Ahead

Epiphanies tend to happen to me when I least expect it, but the launch of CP Style (CP is short for Caroline Pigott) has been subconsciously brewing for quite some time. Why I bring up epiphanies is because in September, 2008, it dawned on me that I was working in the wrong job. I had, for quite some time, been settling for a life of professional confinement. Therefore, I was experiencing a very personal struggle with whom I was and where I was supposed to be in life.

It took an unpleasant experience, which you can read about here, to move me to rethink my professional future. I am a big believer that our professional life greatly affects our personal one. It is important to understand that our day job isn’t the be all and end all of  life; however it is equally as important to enjoy what we do on a day to day basis. After all, we spend so much of our time working. So it is a shame that many of us wish our lives away; looking forward to the weekend, or the next vacation, without taking the time to enjoy the present.

Writing has always been a passion of mine.  So when I launched my virtual assistant business, VIP Assistant Solutions, in October, 2008, I was determined to offer all services relating to my skills; PR, administration, and writing. It quickly occurred to me that, while I quite enjoy offering administrative services to my clients, my writing and PR services are what make me energized. I believe that when we are passionate about something, our energy naturally increases and this produces superior results.

Of course, I am still offering superior administrative services through VIP Assistant Solutions but will be making CP Style my primary business. And while this will now be my main blog, I invite you to read my other blog posts at Virtually and Professionally Speaking.

As my husband has noticed, writing has a calming effect on me. While we all must go along with the changes life presents us with, I feel I have finally found my professional bliss. I urge everyone to always follow their dreams, and simply listen to their intuition. Life can be complicated – but only when you allow it to be.
